  • November 7 th, from 10 am to 4pm (1000 to 1600).
  • The Bush Library has agreed to collaborate on a model building event for veterans and youth, plus a non-judged model exhibit.

Volunteers:

We will need modelers to coach the Vets and Kids during several 2-3 hour sessions held in the Classroom. We are soliciting tools, glue, nippers, and sanding sticks from vendors, but volunteers may bring their own basic kit if they wish. There will be no painting at this initial session. We intend to send the kit and the supplies home with the Vets and Kids.

Donations:

We will be looking for simple kits, glue, nippers, sanding sticks, matts, etc so that our guests can experience the joy we feel when we open a kit and get started on a build. We are also happy to take a cash donation so we can buy some of the $9.00 starter kits on Amazon!

Exhibit:

This won’t be a contest, it will be display only. We may do a People’s Choice award.
